My name is Ian, I am an 18 year old biathlete, born and raised in Bozeman. I have been training and competing as a biathlete with Crosscut Mountain Sports Center for the last 8 years, and am currently on their elite team. This summer I qualified for the 2025 World University Games in Torino, Italy in January. My passions include mountain biking, road biking & Nordic skiing.

U.S. Biathlon is proud to invite all Youth & Junior Biathletes to the U.S. Biathlon Youth and Junior Nationals & International Team Trials to be held December 26-31, 2024 at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, Utah. National Championships medals will be up for grabs as well as selection to International Teams for the winter of 2024-25 and an incredible opportunity to gain experience while racing at the future 2034 Olympic Biathlon venue.
The FISU Games return to their birthplace of Torino for the first time since 2007. Six municipalities will host 11 sports over the course of 11 days of competition between 13-23 January 2025 at the 2025 FISU World University Games Winter in Italy’s Piemonte region. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, and freestyle will be in Bardonecchia, Pragelato will host cross-country skiing, biathlon, and the optional sport of ski orienteering, Pinerolo and Torre Pellice will welcome ice hockey, the other optional sport of ski mountaineering will be held in Sestriere, while competition in figure skating, short track speed skating, curling, and ice hockey will be held in Torino.
